A non profit science & discovery centre focusing on research, education, and community outreach on the St. Lawrence River.
River Institute values the contribution of volunteers and encourages volunteer participation by individuals and groups. Volunteers contribute toward achieving our goals of providing environmental services, educating the public, conducting research, and encouraging the protection of the environment. There are many opportunities for volunteer involvement, with different levels of activity and responsibility.
Volunteers are recruited and screened to ensure that candidates are assigned to roles that they are best suited. All volunteers must submit an application form, and meet with the Volunteer Coordinator to arrange health and safety training, security checks (if necessary) and other requirements.
